Photo Booth Expo 2023: 10 Must-Knows Before the Event

Are you attending the International Photo Booth Expo in Las Vegas this year? Thinking about starting your own photo booth business, or adding a photo booth to your existing event business? Then make sure you’re heading to Las Vegas this February 21-23 for Photo Booth Expo (PBX) 2023! PBX is the premiere tradeshow for the photo booth industry, where you’ll get a first-hand look at the latest and greatest technology out there.

Whether you’ve never been to PBX, or if this is your 8th year attending, we want to make sure you're fully prepared for a fantastic time. Here are our top 10 must-knows before arriving in Las Vegas.

PBX 2023 Venue Location

PBX 2023 is located at the South Point Hotel & Casino, a great spot for our favorite tradeshow! Make sure you’ve booked your room on-site so you don’t have to worry about taking a rideshare there and back every day. The South Point is full of dining options and even has a 24/7 Starbucks; plus it’s only a quick Uber over to the Strip if you want to be a tourist!

Schedule of Events (PBSCO Events!)

There’s a lot to do at PBX 2023, and we mean a lot. In addition to the talks, all the booths to check out on the expo hall floor, and the nightly parties, we’re hosting several demos and talks directly at our booth! Stop in for a live demo of our Guac photo booths throughout the day, or swing by on Wednesday for one of Catalina Bloch’s talks every other hour!

Dress Code

PBX doesn’t have a strict dress code, but there are some do’s and don’ts for any tradeshow. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, cool clothing (it gets warm in those halls!), and bring something to change into for the evening parties! This can also be a great networking opportunity, so bringing a branded t-shirt or hat isn’t a bad idea.

Transportation Options

Traveling to Las Vegas from out of town for the International Photo Booth Expo? Make sure you know what traffic is like to and from the South Point Hotel & Casino. It’s off the Strip, so you’ll have an easier time attending, but make sure you schedule your rideshare in advance. Those parties run late!

Meal and Refreshment Plans

There are numerous food and drink options at the South Point, but remember Las Vegas is very dry and warm this time of year for those of us visiting from the colder parts of the country. Stop by the Photobooth Supply Co booth right by the exhibit hall entrance to refill your water bottle at our water station!

Networking Opportunities

PBX is also a great place to chat and network with other professionals, including your favorite PBSCO employees! Amber, our social media manager, can give you tips and tricks for turning your social media followers into customers. And Derek, who runs most of our amazing demos, will be there showing off tips and tricks for getting the most out of our photo booths. Did you know you can use Salsa to set up lead capture at your booths, letting you come out of any event with 100 prospects? So swing by to chat with us, ask your burning questions, and get to know the team who supports you!

Recommended Gear and Tech

If there’s anything we recommend bringing to Photo Booth Expo in Las Vegas it’s a spare USB battery to keep your phone charged up! Who knows how many photos you’ll be taking, the contacts you’ll be entering, or how late you’ll be staying out? We’re fans of Anker, personally.

Local Attractions

Spending a little extra time in Las Vegas after PBX 2023? There is so much to do! You can visit MeowWolf, hit up Cirque du Soleil, or check out Lost Spirits - a prohibition-era speakeasy-meets-Cirque dining experience! Whether you want to go out to eat, bet at the casinos, or explore The Strip at night, Las Vegas has something for everyone. For example, Seven Magic Mountains is just a 20-minute drive from the show!

Emergency Contact Information

Speaking of going out at night in Las Vegas, our last (serious) piece of advice is to make sure you’ve updated your emergency contact information. Las Vegas is truly a city that never sleeps, so keep yourselves safe, healthy, and happy this PBX. We’ll see you in just a few days!

Fun Activities and Surprises are in Store!

And what list would be complete without some of what we’re planning for PBX? Make sure you stop by our booth to learn more about our deals (we’re offering discounts for Salsa AND Guac!) and join our waitlist for the official PBSCO Fiesta meetup. But you need to be there to learn more, so we’ll see you in Vegas!
